San Reetam are a South West based production collective formed in 2021, featuring composer/producer MDB, pianist/songwriter Joe Pike and saxophonist/vocalist Eve Lesedi. MDB and Joe met while working on a previous project and their co written songs received extensive airplay on Planet Rock radio and BBC Introducing during 2020/21.
Following on from those successes they formed San Reetam with a focus on producing music with a cinematic quality. Their songs cover a broad stylistic palette, from neo soul, RnB, to full blown orchestral ballads. They released their first single Under A Moon in July 2022 to a warm reception from local radio and respected music blogs. Their follow up single As Strong As You was released in October 2022 and was featured on BCFM’s Bristol Music Show October playlist, In the Mix. December 2022 saw the release of Between Hearts, a power ballad featuring singer Anastasia Quinton Smith.
In 2023 San Reetam were joined by powerhouse drummer 3D and they performed live at a few well reviewed gigs in Bristol and Bath, culminating with an electric performance at Komedia, Bath as part of Bath Fringe Festival. November 2023 saw the release of The Road a crowd favourite from the gigs. 2024 has already started with a live session recorded exclusively for Woodbox Productions, followed by drum tracking sessions at Crossleaze Studios, which form the base for 3 brand new singles to be released over the course of the year.
